Reiki

Reiki (pronounced "Ray-Ki") is a lying - on of hands energy healing technique, and is thought to be thousands of years old.

It is Based on the ancient wisdom and sacred symbols of Tibetan Buddhist monks and was rediscovered in the late 1800`s by Dr Mikao Usui Sensei, a Japanese Buddhist. The system of Reiki is a very simple yet powerful form of healing that can be given, received, and easily learned by anyone.

The word Reiki is a Japanese word. "Rei," meaning "Universal Spirit," and "Ki," is meaning "Life force." These words are thought to have originated from "Raku-Kei." Raku is the vertical energy flow and Ki is the horizontal flow of energy flowing through the body. Therefore, the word Reiki refers to the balance of a universal and life force energy. Because of this balance, it will somehow give the correct amount of energy that is required when used in healing and will naturally find its way to the areas where it is most needed, without the practitioner having to give any direction.

Treatment

A Reiki treatment works by dissolving or releasing toxins through the vibrations that take place on a higher frequency of ones being, whether it is on the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual level.
Creating a harmonious environment from within ones self.

When giving Reiki, it does not matter if it is a person, a pet, a plant or an object, the energy will flow into it.

Reiki complements other therapies by strengthening and enhancing their natural healing energies, which can increase by up to fifty percent.

Reiki I, II and III are taught by a Reiki Master and transferred to the students through initiation, in which there are attunements made. A series of symbols are sealed into the person’s energy field, and guidance is given to them in channelling the higher Vibrations of energy. This opens the Crown, the Third eye, the Heart and Palm Chakras.

Student

Once the student has been attuned to the Reiki energy, it will be permanent and last for life, (even if the energy remains dormant for some time). Giving one the ability to Reiki the self and others.

The Usui system of Reiki is very well integrated and balanced. It is an important energy that enhances our awareness on all levels, giving us the ability to achieve a higher state of a consciousness towards a positive future in this world.
